Yes, you need to wear books with a walking heel. It does not need to be a riding boot, but it should come over the ankle and be ½ inch to 1 ½ inches in height. You should wear long pants, and you can borrow a helmet from us for your first lesson.
Yes, please plan to arrive 30 minutes before your scheduled lesson time. Sometime our traffic can be an issue and finding our exact location can slow things down.
Absolutely! Our lesson are about learning how to ride. Proper mounting, walking, basic steering, communication, and a few steps of trot are all part of your first riding lesson.
Lessons begin when the student enters the arena and has the attention of the instructor. It ends when the student exits the arena, which is moments after they have dismounted.
If a student arrives late for their lesson and the instructor is unable to extend the end time, the lesson may still end at the originally scheduled time, resulting in a shortened lesson.
General tack setup is not included in lesson time, however, adjustment such as stirrup length are included in the lessons time.
Yes, parents or a friend are welcome to watch the riding lesson from bleechers that are located at the edge of the arena.
No, we don’t allow outside pets. There are two resident dogs on the farm. They are friendly, but please do not feed them and please be careful when driving in the parking lot.
